Nolan Miller – Nolan Miller

Nolan Miller along with Halston and Oleg Cassini were among the top US designer’s from the 60’s onwards.

Born in Texas, in 1933 Miller had an interest in design from an early age, graduating from Chouinard Art Institute and unable to find work in the fashion industry he got a job as a florist.

Through this he met Aaron Spelling (“Simon Cowell” of his day) who produced most of the major US TV shows culminating in the world wide hit… Dynasty. Although already an established costume designer in the US, when he and Aaron Spelling collaborated on that worldwide hit he became an international star. His Dynasty collection featured many of the styles worn in the show by Joan Collins and Linda Evans. Going on to be nominated for many awards including Emmy’s  his designs were worn by major film stars including  Sophia Loren, Joan Collins and Elizabeth Taylor.

Our Fashion Insider states “Nolan Millers Dynasty range reflected the TV images of Alexis and Krystle. With a refined elegant look for Krystle and a more show stopping look for Alexis. This range was definitely not for the faint of heart and guaranteed being noticed in any room full of celebrities”

Nolan Miller is now deceased.
