Cojana - Hans Jacoby

Cojana, a brand started by Hans Jacoby with the help of his family in the 60s, was renowned for their superb tailoring and couture inspired garments and quickly became sought after by the upmarket fashion stores such as Harrods in London, and Bloomingdales in New York.
Firm favourite with mothers of the bride, it became best known for the suit worn by Princess Diana when her engagement to Prince Charles was announced.

Our Fashion Insider says “Princess Diana had not yet found her own style. Her choice of Cojana to announce her engagement reflected her fashion naiviety as this label was aimed at woman over 30. However she quickly became a fashion icon helped by advice from Vogues Anna Wintour Her unique “Diana” Look dominated the fashion scene for the next 15 years and her outfits are still today exchanged for vast sums.”

Cojana continued to be a favourite amongst mother of the brides for several years to come.

The Cojana brand is now dissolved.
