Alyce Designs – Alyce Hamm

Alyce Designs was established in 1967 by Alyce Hamm, who had trained at the famous Paris Ecole de Couture along with her brother Jean- Paul Hamm. The company specialised in evening wear, occasion wear and bridal wear. A regular feature on the red-carpet scene Miss USA, Miss France, Miss Universe and Miss World were among the celebrities that have worn Alyce designs.

Our fashion insider says “The advent of

yuppies with their huge bonus’ contributed to the affluence of the late 80s. Alyce Designs reflected that mood with heavily beaded and embellished dresses. At a time when a fashionistas calendar included galas, cocktail parties, formals etc there was a demand for more dressy clothing. Perhaps for the last time in the 20th century”

Alyce Hamm is now deceased.
